‎Dear CRF‬, “What are your thoughts on the term “work wife” or “work husband”? My coworker’s wife is out of town and a woman he calls his work wife has brought him lunch two days in a row and today she cooked him lasagna. Her reasoning was so her work husband doesn’t go hungry this week while his family is away.”

RESPONSE
Work spouses are great… for single people. Married people must respect their marriage first and foremost. In this instance, the husband should let his co worker know that it is inappropriate behavior. If he doesn’t respect his marriage, neither will she. Next thing she won’t want him to be lonely while his family is away. Boundaries need to be set and maintained immediately.
