A MOTHER’S LOVE
On Friday, September 19th, the media reported the tragic death of Jessica Arrendale who was murdered by her boyfriend who later took his own life.
But before Jessica died, she heroically saved the life of her six month old daughter, Cobie, by protecting her from the hail of bullets and placing the child in a toilet.
WSB-TV reports, “It began Saturday night when Jessica and Cobie’s father, 30-year old Antoine Davis, went out for the evening. At some point, Ionniello said, Davis, a former Marine who served in Iraq, became belligerently drunk and abusive. It had happened many times, Ionniello said, but her daughter did not seem able to turn Davis away no matter how often he abused her.”
While we say our RIPs to this latest victim of domestic violence let’s be mindful of the numerous men and women who suffer in silence. If you are someone you know is being abused, please get away now before your abuser takes your life and possibly the life of someone you love.
